Vicci Martinez was a contestant on Season 1 of The Voice. At the time of auditioning, Vicci was 26 years old and was from Tacoma, Washington. Vicci came in 3rd/4th place.

The Voice

Blind Auditions

In the Blind Auditions, Vicci was the 4th artist to audition and sang "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele. Both Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera turned their chairs around but Vicci chose to join Team Cee Lo.

Battle Rounds

In the Battle Rounds, Vicci was paired with Niki Dawson and they were given the song "F**kin' Perfect" by Pink. Cee Lo chose Vicci as the winner of the battle and Niki was eliminated from the competition.


In the 2nd week of the Quarterfinals, Vicci performed 3rd and sang "Jolene" by Dolly Parton. She also performed with the rest of Team Cee Lo and their coach to "Everyday People" by Sly and the Family Stone. Vicci was saved by the public and moved to the next stage of the competition with fellow team member Nakia.


In the Semi-finals, Vicci performed 8th and sang "Dog Days Are Over" by Florence and the Machine. She also performed with the other 7 contestants to a "Faith/Freedom '90" medley. Vicci advanced to the Finals and Nakia was eliminated from the competition.


In the Finals, each contestant had to perform an original song and a duet with their coach. Vicci's first performance was her original song called "Afraid to Sleep". She then dueted with Cee Lo Green to "Love is a Battlefield" by Pat Benatar. During the Finals results show Vicci sang with Patrick Monahan to "Drops of Jupiter" and was later announced as joint 3rd/4th place with Beverly McClellan.
